·       If a physician, past or present certification by an ABMS- or AOA- approved specialty board and eligibility for MA or NH licensure as an allopathic or osteopathic physician and knowledge about current PA practice standards and the PA role
·       A minimum of a master’s degree
·       A minimum of six years of clinical experience
·       A minimum of three years of clinical education experience
·       A minimum of two years in full-time PA education, preferably in a leadership role
·       A history of active involvement in the preparation of a physician assistant program’s self-study report and accreditation application and at least one previous ARC-PA accreditation site visit for a Physician Assistant program.
·       Strong skills in leadership, organization, management, budget development and management, communication, and computer literacy
·       Academic preparation and/or experience in graduate level clinical education
·       Ability to effectively work independently on numerous projects/tasks
·       Ability to effectively work in a team environment
·       Experience working with higher education administration

Physician Assistants (Orthopedics and Neurosurgery)

 In this role, you will work closely with a physician in your specialty in providing high quality, cost-effective patient care. Responsibilities will include performing surgical preparation procedures, peri- and post-operative examinations, and assisting with surgical and other procedures. Additional responsibilities will be varied: working in the outpatient clinic performing patient evaluations, pre-surgery physicals and consultation, and post surgery follow-up. The supervising physician is a D.O. and has been practicing family medicine in the community for 27 years.
Hours are 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday and 8:30 am – 12:00 pm on Friday.
