needed for Lackland AFB, TX. This position is full-time with full benefits

excellent full-time Physician Assistant in the Orthopaedic Surgery Flight,
Wilford Hall Army Medical Center, Lackland AFB, TX. Must have NCCPA, Basic
Life Support (BLS) certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
certification, and a valid PA license (1 in any of the 50 states). Must
have completion of residency or fellowship training of 12 months or more in

CLINICAL duties shall include but are
not limited to:

Perform assessment of patient medical

Diagnose and plan therapy appropriate for
the diagnosis to include prescribing meds, ordering and evaluating lab tests

WARD duties shall include but are not

management, including writing/dictating patient orders, pre/post operative
notes, discharge/narrative summaries.
SURGUCAL duties shall include but are
not limited to:

Surgical assisting in the OR including
closure of incision involving more than 1 layer.

Tendon repair, transfer, lengthening, and
shortening.

Cement privileges
-
Arthrocentesis
-
Therapeutic/diagnostic joint and bursal
injections

Closed reduction of fractures
-
Manipulation of deformities of the musculo-skeletal
system
-
Management of fingertip and extremity
amputations
-
Apply, remove, bi-valve, and over-wrap
cases, splints, and other dressings.

Management of human and animal bites

We are currently seeking an experienced Physician
Assistant to work with our Medical Surgical health care team in providing
care for adult patients before and after surgical procedures. Help

I am
currently recruiting for an Orthopedic Physician Assistant to work a
temporary/locums position for me in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This is a government
bid for the VA in Ann Arbor. The deadline for this bid is next Friday, April 11th.
The contract length will be 26 work weeks after approved credentialing
with a potential start date of June.
The work schedule is Monday, Thursday and Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. and
Tuesday and Wednesday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.. The PA will be a member of the
Orthopedic clinical team performing pre-op H&P’s for patients needing orthopedic
surgical procedures; casting/splinting/reduction of fractures; seeing patients
in the ortho clinic and patients on inpatient and urgent care units in the
hospital.

state license will be accepted. Ortho experience required.
